The Real Estate team has advised HUB on an £88 million forward funding deal with Singapore-based property developer, City Developments Limited (CDL) to deliver Yardhouse, a 209-home co-living scheme in Wood Lane, West London.

This is HUB and Bridges’ first co-living forward-fund deal and CDL’s first co-living scheme in the UK. It will also be the first co-living scheme in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The scheme will partner with specialist housing association, Women’s Pioneer Housing (WPH), to deliver 60 affordable homes for single women, as well as a new head office for WPH.

The team from Gowling WLG was led by real estate partner Richard Beckingsale, with support from tax partner Matt Poole, senior associate Jimmy Wheeler, and legal director Susannah Fink.

Richard Beckingsale commented: We are delighted to have supported the Hub and Bridges team on this exciting project.  The project will deliver new homes and a head office for Women’s Pioneer Housing alongside high-quality co-living space. It is another large and complex forward funding deal for the Gowling WLG Living team, adding to its strong track record in delivering BTR, co-living, student, affordable and senior living homes.

Gowling WLG is home to one of the UK's largest real estate practices. For further information, visit our real estate sector page.
