Corporate team advises finnCap Limited on Grit Real Estate Income Group Limited c. US$76 million fundraise

Our corporate team has advised finnCap Limited as sponsor and bookrunner to GRIT Real Estate Income Group Limited ("GRIT") in relation to a placing and open offer, the results of which were announced by GRIT on 20 December 2021, as well as two Class 1 acquisitions.

Grit Real Estate Income Group Limited is the leading pan-African real estate company focused on investing in and actively managing a diversified portfolio of assets in carefully selected African countries (excluding South Africa). These high-quality assets are underpinned by predominantly US$ and Euro denominated long-term leases with a wide range of blue-chip multi-national tenant covenants across a diverse range of robust property sectors.

The acquisitions comprise the purchase by GRIT of certain shares in Gateway Real Estate Africa Limited ("GREA") and Africa Property Development Management Limited ("APDM").

Gowling WLG previously advised finnCap Limited and Deloitte LLP as joint sponsors in relation to GRIT's move from the standard segment to the London Stock Exchange (LSE) premium segment in January 2021. The firm also advised finnCap Limited on GRIT's London initial public offering (IPO) in 2018.
